Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist
MachineStation USA — Lake Elsinore, CA
Full-Time | On-Site
$22–$27/hour + Performance-Based Bonus Opportunity
About MachineStation
MachineStation is a major used CNC machinery dealer serving manufacturers throughout the United States and internationally.
Unlike online machinery brokers, we physically own and stock our equipment. Our Lake Elsinore facility contains hundreds of CNC machines from leading manufacturers including Haas, Mazak, Okuma, DMG MORI, Doosan, Makino, and many others.
Every day, machines arrive, get inspected, repaired, cleaned, tested, demonstrated, sold, loaded, and shipped around the world. We need one person who knows how to turn that activity into a strong, credible, high-performing social media and content engine.
The Role
We are looking for an on-site Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist to own MachineStation’s organic social media and content marketing function.
This is not a coordinator role and it is not a role for someone who only wants to build content calendars, create graphics, or wait for assignments.
You will own the content cycle from beginning to end:
Observe → Capture → Research → Create → Publish → Engage → Measure → Improve.
Your immediate job is to own MachineStation’s social media and content engine. Over time, strong performance can lead to broader responsibility across marketing execution.
You should be comfortable leaving your desk, walking through our warehouse, talking with technicians and salespeople, spotting stories, recording videos, taking photographs, researching machines, writing posts, editing content, publishing it, engaging with the audience, and learning from performance.
What You’ll Own
- Content strategy for MachineStation’s social channels.
- LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant organic channels.
- Support and content development for leadership/founder LinkedIn presence.
- Original photo and video capture throughout our Lake Elsinore facility.
- Short-form videos, reels, machine walkthroughs, educational content, carousels, stories, interviews, and other formats.
- Content around machine arrivals, inspections, testing, repairs, cleaning, machine preparation, customer visits, sales, loading, shipping, and everyday warehouse activity.
- An organized content pipeline and publishing calendar.
- Writing hooks, captions, CTAs, educational posts, and industry commentary.
- Community engagement with manufacturers, machine shops, industry professionals, customers, dealers, buyers, and sellers.
- Content performance analysis and decisions about what to increase, change, test, or stop.
- Repurposing strong source content across multiple platforms and formats.
- Continuous experimentation with new topics, formats, hooks, and distribution approaches.
AI & Technology Mindset — Required
MachineStation actively uses AI to increase the speed and quality of marketing execution.
You should already be comfortable using tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms for research, ideation, drafting, repurposing, analysis, and productivity.
You do not need to know every tool on Day 1, but you must be comfortable learning new software independently and experimenting with new technology.
AI should multiply your output—not replace judgment, originality, or authenticity.
The Content We Want
We do not want MachineStation’s social channels to look like an endless classified-ad feed.
Machine listings are important, but they are only part of the story. We want people to see the scale, activity, expertise, and professionalism behind the business.
Content may include CNC machines and technology, new arrivals, machines under power, testing and repairs, machine preparation and improvements, warehouse activity, loading and shipping, customer stories, educational CNC content, technician expertise, buying and selling insights, industry observations, and behind-the-scenes operations.
The Person We’re Looking For
You may come from social media, content creation, digital marketing, videography, journalism, or a similar background. CNC or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. Curiosity and the ability to learn matter more.
You should be:
- Highly proactive and self-directed.
- Naturally curious.
- Comfortable approaching and interviewing people.
- A strong writer and communicator.
- Comfortable shooting video on a phone or camera.
- Capable of editing short-form video and creating basic graphics.
- Fast at execution without becoming careless.
- Organized without becoming bureaucratic.
- Comfortable experimenting and learning from results.
- Data-aware without being obsessed with vanity metrics.
- Resourceful and comfortable solving problems independently.
- Comfortable receiving direct feedback.
- Able to take ownership without waiting for constant instructions.
Most importantly, you should see content opportunities where other people simply see another normal workday.
What Success Looks Like
This role is not measured by how long you spend designing one post or how impressive a content calendar looks.
We care about a balanced combination of:
- Consistent, high-quality content output.
- Growth of a relevant audience.
- Meaningful engagement from the CNC and manufacturing community.
- Qualified inbound buyer and seller opportunities influenced by social media.
- Stronger authority and credibility for MachineStation and its leadership.
- Continuous experimentation and measurable improvement.
Within your first few months, someone visiting MachineStation’s social channels should immediately understand that MachineStation is a real machinery company with substantial physical inventory, knowledgeable people, active operations, and deep CNC industry experience.
Compensation & Growth
Starting pay is $22–$27 per hour depending on experience, demonstrated ability, and overall fit.
Beyond base pay, strong performance can be rewarded through performance-based incentives and bonus opportunities tied to clearly defined KPIs and business-relevant results.
We do not reward empty follower counts or low-quality lead volume. Performance will be evaluated on the quality and business relevance of the growth you create.
A compensation review may be conducted after approximately six months based on demonstrated ownership, capability, and results.
This role has significant growth potential. The immediate responsibility is hands-on social media and content execution. As you demonstrate judgment, ownership, and results, the role may expand into broader marketing coordination and leadership, including managing additional marketing resources as the function grows.
